Forms in the 21st Century: Modernise, Integrate, Migrate?

Many organisations have applications written in Oracle Forms, which represent a large investment in both money and effort.   Perhaps those applications are looking a little tired.  Maybe they are creaking under the weight of too many modification.  Some systems may be no longer able to cope with  new requirements from users.

The aim of the day will be to provide attendees  with a range of options for improving this situation.

  • Modernisation : enhance existing Forms with Java, changing the look and feel, introducing web services, etc.
  • Integration : using more recent technologies (ADF, Apex, SOA) for new applications and extensions which work with the old Forms systems.
  • Migration : convert or replace Forms systems with systems in ADF or Apex.
